After falling in love with the gore of Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway, I’m obliged to tell developers: please include the visceral death animations in your M rated games, assuming it’s appropriate to the genre. Notice I said M-rated — Finding Nemo wouldn’t benefit from a gory fish brutality resulting from a shark encounter gone the way of the shark.
In Brothers in Arms Hell’s Highway, a spectacular headshot warrants a wonderfully cinematic explosion of matter above the shoulders. Holy smokes – I can aim!
It serves as a mechanic to let players know when they’ve made a spectacular feat in aiming, and to add a little more grusomeness to an already vivid experience. I audibly exclaimed “ouch” when I triggered that camera for the first time, with audible cracks from both the M1 Garand and a Nazi skull.
Keep it coming developers, out-gore each other for violence supremacy.

I think that element of the game detracts from it actually… The cinematic zoom I mean, not the gore. The brutality of this game is, as the definition states, grisly; but the zooming in with the Action Cam almost makes it feel like an Unreal Tournament or something… Where’s the announcer to scream “HEADSHOT” over a loudspeaker?
