Due to the generous offer of Tin Man Games, we are holding a contest here on Nukoda and on the Touch of Gaming podcast to give some copies of the 3 game book apps away. If you are like me you remember playing Fighting Fantasy and Lonewolf books as a kid. I say playing, because these books had you using dice and keeping track of your stats on a sheet of paper. At their heart there were choose your own adventure books, but with plenty more awesome.
Tin Man games has released a new series of gamebooks to help bring back the genre, and we are giving away copies of Gamebook Adventures 1: An Assassin in Orlandes, Gamebook Adventures 2: The Siege of the Necromancer, and Gamebook Adventures 3: Slaves of Rema.
To enter simply comment on this post letting us know if you’ve ever read a choose your own adventure book before, and which of the Gamebook Adventures titles you are most interested in. Remember, you need a US iTunes store account to claim the promo codes, Apple’s rules not ours. Be sure to leave your email in the comment form so we can contact you, the winners will be contacted by Friday November 5th. Good luck!
It has been a long time since the last time that I ‘read’ a adventure book, hehe
It will be fun to play one of this in a iOS device, no dice, paper and pencil needed anymore!
I read a Batman Choose your own Adventure that I really enjoyed as a kid. I am sure I read others, but that is the one that stayed with me. I would like Gamebook Adventures 1.
I loved my choose your own adventures but I never tried the ones where you had actual statistics. I think the Necromancer sounds the most interesting to me.
I’m 38 years and from Germany. I never ever got in contact with Choose-your-own-adventure books before the AppStore.
But I loved the idea and got myself the first one
I really like the one I’ve got, but unfortunately haven’t have the time I would love to invest into it.
I have an US iTunes account and would like to get the 2nd or 3rd one, if I would win.
I have read quite a few choose your own adventures! If I won I would likethe assassin one I think!
I did read a few of these choose your own adventure, I loved them and always wished our local library had more.
and if I won I would choose number 2 ( sorry did not put that in the above post)
I’ve never played any “choose your own adventure” games, but they sound fun ! I listened to the TOG podcast the other day, and they sound interesting.
Since I’ve never tried one, a good place to start would be the 1st one “Gamebook Adventures 1: An Assassin in Orlandes”
So did anybody win this?
