Phantasy Star Portable Sells over 200K First Day

Posted on Fri, Aug 1, 2008 in Sony PSP

It seems nothing can stop the Japanese from getting their game on when it comes to the PSP, and the newly released Phantasy Star Portable is no exception.  Selling an estimated 217,000 units in it’s first day, SEGA appears to have another hit on their hands as the PSP continues to lead in both hardware and software, in Japan that is.  According to Sinobi, SEGA increased the initial shipment to 400,000 after stores reportedly sold out.  Here’s to hoping for a North America/Europe release before the end of the year.

Agreed. I’m hoping we can use xlink kai to turn the ad-hoc mode into some multiplayer action. Can’t wait.
