On the Capcom blog a very apologetic Capcom blogger dances around the whys of how an IGN logo watermark appeared on the boxart (although it has been talked about elsewhere), but mentions that Capcom wants to make it up to us.

Pick a box, any boxSimply head on over to the cover redemption page and choose from the 3 covers you see to the right of this post; if you are a US or Canadian citizen that is. Once Capcom has your submission they will supposedly be sending out your free replacement cover in the next few weeks.

This is a pretty cool thing for Capcom to do, and will help prevent any more bad PR. Did you guys pick up Okami? If so what cover did you order? Me, I picked the pink one cause that’s how I roll. I’m really enjoying my first play through Okami, and I’m actually glad that I missed this game the first time on the PS2. The drawing aspect of this game just feels right at home on my Wii. Defaced boxart and all.

The second replacement art is so good. Much better than the original art to be honest!

I think company’s are finally waking up to the fact that they can no longer ignore problems/issues without receiving major repercussions, thanks in no small part to the Internet and bloggers.
