Rock Band DLC coming to the Wii and PS2 afterall… sorta.

Rawk Out

In a move that I seriously didn’t see coming, MTV Games, Harmonix and EA Announced that “Rock Band™ Track Pack Volume 1″ would be coming to the Wii and PS2 on July 15th for $30 bucks! This disk based DLC pack contains 20 original master track recordings from groups such as Blink 182, Weezer, KISS, Nine Inch Nail and Boston!

When the Wii version of Rock back was announced I was bummed to hear that DLC would NOT be making it. There are many songs available on the 360 that i would of liked to play. While I don’t personally like every song in the list of 20, there are enough that I won’t mind spending the $30 bucks.

Not announced was HOW we would be able to play these tracks. Will you launch into a totally separate game where you can only play the new tracks? Do these songs somehow get injected into your game by some form of black magic or disk swapping? I’ve sent the request for more info off to MTV Games, I’ll update this post when/if I hear back.

The full track list is available after the jump.
