Amidst the glitz and glam of the Electronic Entertainment Expo, we usually highlight a few gems that stand out from the crowd. Last year many were taken aback by Call of Duty 4 or Rock Band — this year, “Fallout 3” is becoming an increasingly popular phrase.
Todd Howard showed off a demo of the game, discussing the visuals, the option to play as a shooter or using the Vaultec Assisted Targeting System (VATS). He also showed off some perks (G4 featured a brief demo of highly-gory splendor induced by the Bloody Mess perk) and the Pip-Boy’s radio station, which introduced some marching band music into the mayhem.
There’s no shortage of love for Fallout 3, and if you hit the jump you’ll find a new batch of E3 2008 screenshots.
