Force Unleashed Demo for August 21st

Posted on Sun, Aug 17, 2008 in Sony PS3, Xbox 360

As if Star Wars fans weren’t excited enough about the pending September 16th release date of LucasArts’ upcoming title, The Force Unleashed, the developer has opted to give anxious players a sampling of the Unleashing on August 21st with a demo that teaches hopeful Sith to hone their Force Grip power in a tie-fighter factory that begs to be obliterated.

The third person action game looks supremely awesome in almost every way, though we’re curious to see if it’s all too easy to lay a Sith smackdown on the legions of disposable Stormtroopers throughout the branching canonical addition to the franchise.

Recent trailers and screens continue to impress — even the story looks stellar, by our fanatical analysis — so despite the fact that we’re morally obligated to purchase it in September, we’ll be going hands on this Thursday with both the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 version of The Force Unleashed when it simultaneously hits the respective services.

Now when can we get our eyes on that Indiana Jones game we’ve been dying to play since, uh, 2005.
