Thought to have been shelved, Gearbox’s Aliens title, Colonial Marines is on track for a release next year, with the DS getting its own version too.
The game has suffered numerous delays, but this confirmation means that there is still hope for the squad based shooter. The announcement of a DS version should be interesting too, slated to be the spiritual successor to the DS developer’s- Way Forward Technology-Contra 4. This could be a great addition to the DS, and with Contra 4 mentioned, it could be the definitive version of the Aliens themed game.
Aliens: Colonial marines should be due in 2010, but like the other ‘confirmed’ dates, it could slip once more. Lets hope not.
