The game’s been a long time coming, and as officially announced by Atari today, Alone in the Dark will finally see its pseudo-episodic release in June in Europe across the Wii, Xbox 360 and PC. No info is available regarding the release of the PlayStation 3 version of the game, nor do we have any goods on when we might see the game come Stateside.

Until then, if you feel like treating yourself to another super-limited-ultra-crazy-special-edition, Alone in the Dark’s Limited Edition will come in a snazzy box with the usual goods:

• Alone in the Dark game, one of the most anticipated games of the year;
• Figurine of the game’s legendary hero, Edward Carnby;
• Official Soundtrack CD featuring 8 in-game tracks of original music by Olivier Derivière and performed by Grammy® Award-winning choir The Mystery of Bulgarian Voices;
• Full colour, bound art book featuring never before seen production sketches, storyboards and original artwork from Eden Games;
• ‘Making Of’ documentary feature DVD with exclusive interviews, behind the scenes footage and additional bonus content.

Nothing extraordinary here, though soundtracks and making of DVDs don’t usually disappoint. Whether the figurine holds any worth is yet to be seen, but if it’s anything like the LittleBigDaddy, we’re pumped for this LE. You can probably take a pass on the art book, but hey, who are we to judge? Perhaps there’s five years of waiting-for-this-game in there.
