Best Buy testing price-matching their new games for others’ used

Posted on Fri, Aug 7, 2009 in News, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, Sony PS3, Sony PSP, Xbox 360

bestbuywhybuyusedA Best Buy in West Jordan, Utah has a large sign advertising a new price-match policy for new games at Best Buy to the used prices at Gamestop or Game Crazy.

According to “xxDOYLExx,” a poster on cheapassgamer.com, Best Buy will offer new video games for the same price as used equivalents from GameStop and GameCrazy. A Best Buy representative informed Joystiq that this is only a local test and not a nationwide program. xxDOYLExx also posted the picture above.

If the program does go national, it’s unclear if only Gamestop and Game Crazy would be eligible or any local used-game emporium.
