Once upon a time, way back at E306, 1up Yours gathered some of the industry’s biggest players around one pool to produce an epic, booze-filled, podcast that has gone down in history simply as “1up’s poolside podcast.” In 2006, two new consoles (the PlayStation 3 and the Wii) were debuting, and the Xbox was preparing for its second holiday season. Microsoft’s unveiling of Halo 3, coupled with a noticeable trend of shooters with over-the-shoulder cameras, prompted then-News Editor Luke Smith to declare that, “if Master Chief goes over-the-shoulder, I quit gaming.”
After a year hiatus, the guys and gals at 1up are at it again. With regulars Garnett Lee, Andrew Pfister and Shane Bettenhausen, and guests like Dennis Dyack, N’Gai Croal, Patrick Klepek, Brian Intihar, Jeff Cannata, Stephen Totilo, Christian Nutt, Randy Pitchford, and more(!), comedy and insight ensues.
