Call Of Duty: World At War Multiplayer Beta Out On 360

Posted on Mon, Oct 13, 2008 in News, PC, Sony PS3, Xbox 360

The multiplayer beta for Call of Duty: World At War is up and running as we speak for Xbox 360 owners.  Beta testers will have three maps to explore for the next few weeks (Castle, Makin, and Roundhouse) as well as four different modes (Team Death Match, Free-For-All, Capture the Flag and War).  If you are looking to jump into the mayhem, there are a few ways to sign up, which we will let Treyarch detail.  Although it appears that only UK gamers can guarantee themselves a spot:

“Console players can guarantee themselves a token by pre-ordering the game at UK Game retail locations,* or online at http://www.game.co.uk/. Call of Duty fans that register to become members at www.callofduty.com are also eligible to receive a token, but these tokens are limited in supply, so register today. Additionally, Eurogamer will also be distributing keys from 5pm today on a first-come, first-served basis (http://www.eurogamer.net/).”

The newest installment in the franchise, and a return to a World War II setting , World At War is set to release on November 14, 2008.  Treyarch also noted that a PC beta is soon to follow.
