Three songs from Jimmy Buffet will be downloadable on Xbox Live Marketplace and in the PlayStation Store on Tuesday of next week. Buffet claims to be a “big Rock Band fan” and has rerecorded new versions of his popular songs “Margaritaville,” “Cheeseburger in Paradise,” and “Volcano.” Look for these classics at the usual $1.99/160MS points apiece, or $5.49/440MS points for all three.
It’s good to hear that Buffet has recorded an exclusive version for Rock Band – because, come on, covers are lame! Maybe the master track wasn’t available, but we’re betting that there’s an easter egg in the new version, perhaps a new set of lyrics that goes a little something like this:
“Downloading content again in Margaritaville – looking for my lost points card”
