Download Full Xbox Games in Fall Update

As of December 4, Xbox Live subscribers will be able to hit up the Xbox Live Marketplace and be able to download full Xbox games. While this is all well and good, we can’t help but wonder about how much space on the hard drive these downloads will take up and whether we’ll be forced to buy the ludicrously expensive 120GB drive. Each download will cost 1200 MS Points (15 American Dollars) which isn’t terrible, especially when you consider the initial lineup of downloadable games. Halo: Combat Evolved, Burnout 3, Psychonauts, Fable, Crimson Skies and presumably more unannounced titles on or around the launch of the downloads, which coincides with the Fall Dashboard Update.

Here’s hoping for regular updates as opposed to the PlayStation Store method of giving us a new PS1 game whenever hockey season starts. We’re also concerned that we’ll only see downloads for games that are already backwards compatible and nothing more. I would sacrifice many a goat for Stranger’s Wrath on download or B/C. Hope that they’re similar to arcade games so that we can still use the Xbox 360′s regular services like voice-chat and the like that Xbox games prohibit when playing.
