E3 Parties 2008

It’s that time of year again: press conferences and spectacles mark gaming’s annual supershow, the Electronic Entertainment Expo.  If you’re like most people, you weren’t invited to E3 — but that certainly doesn’t spell boring.  What better way to turn the event into a truly exciting party without venturing to Los Angeles with Nukoda’s E3 Party Guide!

  • Step 1: Invite your gamers. If you’re a hardcore gamer, chances are you are very in touch, so using texts, the phone, facebook, email and any other communication medium under the sun, get your buddies together for the press conference of your favorite console or all of them!
  • Step 2: Make Predictions. Before the conference starts, guess what’s going to be new and exciting and then compare your predictions with the announcements.
  • Step 3: Watch. The most important step of all — the Super Bowl game of Super Bowl parties if you will.  Gather your friends around the television or computer (the press conferences will be aired on G4 TV and at gamespot.com) with pizza, drinks and popcorn and behold Peter Moore’s inevitable new EA tattoo.  We recommend having a live stream playing simultaneously in conjunction with G4′s televised coverage so you can continue where you left off when G4 inappropiately cuts to commercial (last year’s Halo 3 trailer anyone?).
  • Step 4: After Party! Play some splitscreen Halo and relax with the guys.  Now’s the time to show off your Rock Band skills and reflect on yet another edge-of-your-seat E3.

We’ve provided you with the idea, now you just need the time.  Microsoft kicks things off July 14th at 10:30am Pacific.  The following day look for Nintendo at 9:00am Pacific.  Sony brings up the rear immediatly at 11:30am following Nintendo.
