E308: Three New Harvest Moon Games Detailed

Even before E3 really kicks off, Natsume has detailed the three upcoming games in the farming world of Harvest Moon.

Coming to Wii is Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquillity, which promises realistic motion control with the Wii Remote. The game will be an expansion of the framing lifestyle the previous games in the series entail, including all new animals, such as the weirdly included Ostrich.

Hopefully Tree of Tranquillity will be more proficient on the Wii than the GameCube port of Magical Melody that came to Europe earlier this year. If the motions are executed well, then this could be one of the best ways to get your Farming fix at home.

Second in line is the DS accompaniment, Harvest Moon: Island of Happiness. This is Harvest Moon like we know and love it, with added WiFi Support for specialized competitions against other players. It is looking good, but not a huge leap forward in graphical prowess.

And finally we have Rune Factory 2: A Fantasy Harvest Moon, the sequel to last years battle infused Harvest Moon game. It looks much nicer than the other DS title Natsume unveiled, with a full 3D engine powering the Zelda style game.

The Harvest Moon titles are set for release in the Summer, with Rune Factory following close behind in Fall. Hit the jump for the press releases of all three games.
