While the new PSP was leaked days before the event, Sony have now made the new version of their handheld 100% official at their press conference.
Along with the announcement, integration of the video marketplace, with an increase in the media available, will be making its way to both the PSP Go, and the original PSP. Sony stressed that the PSP 3000, and the UMD format wouyld remain a viable option for gamers, which begs the question as to why the new PSP would be introduced to begin with.
The PSP Go will be released in North America and Europe on October 1. In North America, it will cost $249, the price that the original PSP launched for.
