In case you glossed over the April announcement of Little League World Series 2008 — an anime inspired baseball title for both Nintendo DS and Wii, that Activision claims is “the perfect game to play with your friends and family.” — we’ve got a gallery of juicy, cell-shaded screens for you to check out. The casual-centric rendition of America’s Favorite Pastime will feature the pitching/fielding/batting, as expected, but to appeal to the non-gamer crowd, Activision has taken the liberty of including a few mini-games to casually kill the time. We’re hoping there’s a bit more for the hardcore gamers, because “casual” has recently been synonymous with “crap”, but LLWS looks to please regardless.
Aside from its August 5 release date, little else is known about Little League World Series 2008, but the screens below should surely pique your interest in the Nintendo exclusive title with its great visual style and tastes of mini-games to come.
