Final Details of the New L4D DLC

When a campaign poster appears you know Valve are going to release something soon. Dated for October 5, The Sacrifice DLC will coincide with the final part of the webcomics.

For the hardcore fans the comic is being treated as the official canon, with the DLC being a pick your own ending deal.

So far we already know that this will be the missing piece that details on how the original team is broken on their journey down south. However Valve were never clear on the differences between the Left 4 Dead’s version and Left 4 Dead 2′s version.

If there ever were any hardcore boycotters, still playing the first game out of sheer outrage, then the new DLC offers campaign, versus and survival support for the new maps. It does look like they won’t be getting use of any melee, guns or new specials but does offer a new style finale, hunter pounce spots and five new achievements.

Left 4 Dead 2 players are getting a better deal. Just like the original they get the new maps and new achievements but on top of that they get the No Mercy campaign, Scavenge maps and the opportunity to use the original characters in both The Sacrifice and No Mercy. Could Bill and Louis move on from their pill addiction to shooting up?

Now comes the kicker. PC gamers get the DLC free for both versions but Xbox 360 users will have to pay 560 points each if they want to play the new content on both the original and its sequel. It’s your funeral.
