Final Fantasy I PSP

After 20 years, you would think that people would have become sick of Final Fantasy I and II. Squeenix doesn’t seem to think so, as they have just announced that thier ports of final Fantasy I, and Final Fantasy II will be coming across the sea to the europeans. On February 8th loyal FF fans will have another chance to blow £60 on the same two games all over again. The question is, will they retain the 20th anniversay title that the US versions held, as it would technically be the 21st year of FF. But the people who will really want to play thses versions could have imported, right. The region free PSP means that if you have waited anxiously for these ancient games on your PSP’s 16:9 screen, then you could have been playing them for the last few months.

With the promise of FF13 as soon as humanly possible, which basically means 2060, we will envitably see these games ported again. They could possibly use the DS engine, used in the upcoming port of Final fantasy IV. But these wont be the only ports seen in 2008; Dragon Quest ports are a plenty; Japan will probably get FF V; while Europe is always way behind in the porting game. Will we see FF IV DS 6 months late as we did with this years FFIII port? Probably.
