Heavily rumoured for the past few weeks, Capcom has made official its plans to release a Super version of Street Fighter IV.
Seeming to revert back to their 90s money making ways once more, the content is in some ways little more than the style found in DLC, with 8 new characters and some tweaks to the game balancing. Capcom have listened to issues from the community and acted upon them, but surely a whole new game isn’t the best course of action.
Seeing new characters is a bonus though, with classic characters T.Hawk and Dee Jay being accompanied by brand new combatants like Juri. Capcom have promised a discount price for the game though, along with a small hint that those who own both games will benefit in some way.
The jury is still out on whether Super Street Fighter IV is necessary, but provided they get the pricing right, this could repeat the success of the original on release in Spring 2010. Check out a full screenshot gallery below.
