The failure rate for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 comes in at 54.6 percent, according a poll conducted by video game magazine Game Informer.

The failure rate places it five times more likely to break than the Playstation 3, the next closest failure rate.

The magazine surveyed nearly 5,000 readers for the survey. Though the 360s failure rate is disturbingly  higher than the others, Microsoft’s numbers might be inflated inflated because 360s are used the most of the three consoles, the survey indicated.

Results said 40.3 percent of 360 owners use the console three to five hours a day, compared to 37 percent of PS3 owners. Meanwhile, the large plurality of Wii owners (41.4 percent) play their consoles less than an hour a day.

Microsoft also gained low marks for taking the longest (over a month) for average repair time, compared to a week for Sony and Nintendo.
