Microsoft has just released details on the Gears of War 2 collectors edition that will ship with the game this fall. The limited edition will include a 48-page hardcover book with character profiles, concept art and a foreward by Cliff Bleszinski. There will also be the standard bonus DVD, with trailers, design galleries and audio commentary. In standard collector’s-edition form, the game will be enclosed by a steel case, but that’s not the only thing plated with a metal: you’ll get access to an exclusive Xbox LIVE code to unlock a gold-plated Lancer for increased online badassness. Lastly, with a touch of personality, we present the Dominic and Maria keepsake photo.
The British pricing has been announced, at £49.99, and we expect the North American version to be the regular $69.99. Check out the included image for a visualization of the elements.
