The first Halo franchise spin-off is set to hit American shelves March 3. Halo Wars is a real-time strategy game that takes place before the epic Master Chief saga, and is the first of two Halo titles planned for 2009. The other is the recently renamed Halo: ODST, which is a standalone campaign expansion to Halo 3. Neither features the monolithic spartan that gamers embodied during the first three games, but getting two Halo titles in one year has to make up for it, right?
