Valve have announced the release date of Crash Course, the second downloadable content for Left 4 Dead, set for a worldwide release on the Xbox360 and PC on 29 September.
This installment bridges the gap between No Mercy and Death Toll spanning over two chapters. While there is the option for campaign and survival mode, the main focus is on versus mode with the length tailored to create short but satisfying matches that last around 30 minutes.
Players will be run through a variety of challenges such as a lift finale where the generator powering lowering the lift can abruptly shut off requiring a quick rebooting.
Yesterday’s patch for L4D added move recharge meters for the special infected as well as making item drops the same in both rounds of a match. On top of that ten more achievements have been added to the existing ones. At the moment they remain locked and unnamed but it can be safely assumed that the survival packs unadded achievements from the PC version may make an appearance.
The price remains 560 MSP for Xbox users and free for the PC crowd.
