An update and new Pirates of the Caribbean themed downloadable content is incoming to the award-winning LittleBigPlanet, and we have new levels off the starboard bow, Captain! Media Molecule are purportedly following up from their Metal Gear Solid level pack with new levels and content based on the hugely popular Disney franchise.
Though the wait has been long (a whole year!) since the release of the Metal Gear themed content, it seems that Media Molecule are sticking to their word that LittleBigPlanet will be treated “as a platform” to be expanded on. It seems the wait is almost over though, as the LittleBigPlanet trophy information has already leaked for the upcoming content.
The trophy information has revealed that the previously announced water feature will be added as part of the pack. This will no doubt reinvigorate the LBP community, and we’ll no doubt be seeing some genius new water-based levels, and a thousand more based on the movie Titanic, soon.
Media Molecule are remaining tight-lipped at the moment though, so release dates and pricing have yet to be announced. We expect the content to be similarly priced to the Metal Gear Solid pack, which hit the wallets at an entirely fair £4.99 ($5.99) for the level pack, and (not entirely fair) the same price again for the pack of costumes.
