Unlike the Japanese Wii-makes of the Metroid Prime trilogy, North American gamers won’t have to buy each title separately. This week Nintendo announced that the Metroid Prime Trilogy will be coming to Wii on August 24th.
The first two games in the series have been fully updated with both Wii remote control-like the recent MP3 Corruption-and other elements of the 2007 game. This ranges from the token system, where tokens will be interchangeable from game to game, to full 16:9 wide screen. These additions may be just enough incentive for those who still own the Gamecube versions, and will make the deal that bit more worthwhile for those who missed out first time round.
Make sure to check out the upcoming episode 38 of the Wiispot podcast where Lloyd and Edgar discuss thier thoughts on the game, which can be found at http://wiispot.com. The episode was also recorded live over at http://nukoda.com/live and for those who missed it this time round, keep up to date with recording times by following Dasme and NerdblurbEdgar on Twitter.
