Considering the drastically different artistic approach to anything you’ll see running currently on the Unreal Engine 3, it’s almost shocking that Suda 51′s upcoming horror game for Grasshopper Manufacture is running on the engine.
Resident Evil 4 honcho Shinji Mikami is acting as producer on Suda’s upcoming horror title, which I’m sure we’re all praying won’t look like we think it will. It’s too easy to go for the drab colored, slick-with-rain look that makes each Unreal-powered game blossom with stellar visuals, so we’ve got to assume that the legendary designer of Killer 7 and No More Heroes will take Unreal Engine 3 to unforeseen heights… or at least in some funky direction we weren’t expecting.
Here’s hopin’ for a killer looking game on top of whatever mind-melded fusion of incredible comes from Mikami and Suda 51.
