Monster Hunter Freedom 2nd G

Capcom has released the official sales figures for the newest addition to the Monster Hunter series and the numbers are quite impressive. Since it’s release March 27th in Japan, Monster Hunter Portable 2nd G has sold over 1 million units in just six days. Impressive indeed considering the game is more of an expansion than a true sequel. Below is Capcom’s take on the series;

“The overwhelming success and popularity of the Monster Hunter franchise together with a renewed focus on cooperative play has gained this title tremendous support.

Also, in addition to new regions and monsters, the introduction of the Felyne Comrade System along with the ability to transfer data over from “Monster Hunter Freedom 2″ has been very well-received.”

So far capcom has been hush about details regarding an international release, but keep your fingers crossed that we will see it sometime this year.
