For those curious as to how avatars will be integrated into games, look no further than this video, from Microsoft’s Gamerscore Blog. Major Nelson has posted a short interview with two members of the team bringing you avatars, along with some footage of the “Mii-60s” in action.
Right now, we know that avatars will find their way into UNO!, Bomberman Live, Hardwood Hearts, and Hardwood Spades, but apparently only at an aesthetic level. However, the blog entry did foreshadow more avatar functionality by saying, “a new Xbox LIVE Arcade title will also launch with fully playable in-game Avatars.”
What that title is, they aren’t quite ready to say yet.
Oh and Scene It? Box Office Smash will be patched November 19 to make avatars a part of the experience, but if you are reading this site, that game probably isn’t your scene anyway.
