Like with the Dio tracks that have just passed, Anthrax are getting the RB treatment with five of their tracks making their way onto the Rock Band Store. Imagine these tracks as a metaphorical lube for RB3.
Anthrax, one of the big four of thrash metal from the 80s, will be making an appearance on Rock Band 3 with the mosh-friendly and wholly brilliant “Caught in a Mosh” from their breakthrough album Among the Living.
It comes as no surprise then that two of the five tracks come from that same album, “Among the Living” and “Indians”, along with the obvious inclusion of “Madhouse” (live version but it’ll do), “Metal Thrashing Mad” (also live) and ”I’m the Man”. It’s just a shame that the Judge Dredd inspired ”I Am the Law” didn’t make the cut.
In Harmonix’s typical contrasting music genre picks, this week also sees the debut of wrist slashing extravaganza that is My Chemical Romance and the mellow The Doobie Brothers, who are also making an appearance on RB3 (less emphasis as I’m just more of a metal fan that’s all). 30 Seconds to Mars, Atreyu (also debuting) and Buckcherry are additionally being added.
