With the NBA season just around the corner, gamers can get a head start and get their fix of fake basketball now with the NBA 2K9 demo hitting Xbox LIVE and PSN today. Promising to be more simulation and less arcade-like, the game’s demo will pull the classic sports game move and let you relive last season’s championship game.
The NBA 2K9 demo features a four-minute quarter, and you can play either side of 2008′s NBA Finals matchup between the Los Angeles Lakers or Boston Celtics at the TD Banknorth Garden in Boston. Hopefully the focus on creating a basketball sim didn’t lead them to recreate referees that bet on their own games.
