New Chronicles Of Riddick Gets Release Date

Posted on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 in News, PC, Sony PS3, Xbox 360

The long awaited remake/sequel to the Xbox classic The Chronicles of Riddick: Escape From Butcher Bay has got a firm release date for both North America and Europe.

Assault on Dark Athena is much more than a HD port of the original game, instead adding another huge campaign with it’s own plot into the COR canon. The Butcher Bay part of the game has been fully upgraded to the quality needed for this generation of games, but the new full length additional content looks to be just as interesting.

For those who either missed out last time round, or just want to see whether this really is the ultimate version of one of the best shooters ever, developers Starbreeze have made a demo for the game, which will be available next month.

This should prepare players for the game’s release, now set as April 7th in the US, and April 24th in Europe, where the game will be launched on PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Considering how good the last game was, players should be very excited for April thanks to Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena.
