Long rumoured to be announced at E3 next week, Rockstar shocked everyone by unveiling their newest GTAIV content early. The Ballad of Gay Tony will arrive on Xbox 360 this fall.
Said to focus on the night-life of Liberty City, this DLC will contrast with the feel of Lost and Damned. You play as Luiz Lopez, the assistant of the titular nightclub impresario Tony Prince (Gay Tony). This switch of focus to the business side of Liberty City will make for an interesting experience, the change once again proving how willing Rockstar are to try new things and experiment.
The other announcement made by the company sees both DLC packs, Lost and Damned and Ballad of Gay Tony making their way to discs later in the year. For the price of $39.99, anyone can play through both DLC packs, without the need to own the Grand Theft Auto 4 disc. This is a new tactic for developers, and while people who can’t download the games can now play through the scenarios, sales of the double pack may show many newcomers jumping into GTAIV.
Both announcements are due in the fall, and are once again both exclusive to Xbox 360. Whether the disc based version could make it’s way to PS3 eventually is unknown, but expect to find out more at E3 next week.
