After a week of mysterious sound files and a comic centred on the BLU Soldier and RED Demoman’s lifelong friendship it seems this latest patch forces them into war.
Like normal patches three new weapons will be revealed for both the Soldier and Demoman classes over the next couple of days along with new achievements, maps, “surprises” and of course the inevitable server flooding of both classes when it finally comes out at the end of next week.
However unlike other patches there is an exclusive seventh weapon available which only one of the classes can use when the patch is released. To win this weapon for either the demoman or soldier then you’ll need to kill a lot of the opposite class.
“If you want your class to have it, you’re going to have to fight for it,” said Robin Walker on the official blog.
“The more Demomen you kill as the Soldier class will help ensure the Soldier gets the weapon at the end of the week. The more Soldiers you kill as the Demo will help the Demo class get the exclusive seventh weapon.”
