In a world where every game company is doing all they can to suck every last bit of money out of your wallet, a new challenger has stepped up to change the unfair balance in the gaming industry: the Ouya.
What is the Ouya, exactly?
Ouya is a $99 Android-based gaming system completely dedicated to hacking and free games. It will ship with HD capability and a complete dev-kit, enabling developers to create games and upload them to the Ouya ‘store’.
On the Ouya team is One Laptop Per Child designer Yves Behar. Other notable figures on-board include Ed Fries, Amol Sarva, Peter Pharm and Ouya founder and CEO, IGN’s Julie Uhrman.
