I hit the EA booth at PAX today to check out what the scoop was with Crytek’s expansion of its hit (and highly pirated) Crysis. The pseudo-sequel, Crysis Warhead, will be released on September 18th, for $29.99. For this 30 bucks you will get an 8 hour campaign, the multiplayer from the original Crysis, 21 maps, and a new game mode called Team Instant Action (a variant of team deathmatch).
Crysis Warhead has been optimized to work with PCs that can be built for approximately $650, according to the station’s rep. The game takes place the opposite side of the island from the original Crysis, and will be sold as a standalone product.
