PlayStation Store Update Looks Hot, Delays EU Content

At some point this April, the PlayStation Store for the PS3 will be seeing a massive (and much needed) visual overhaul. This will  allow for vastly improved navigation, and is, without a doubt, taking a cue from Microsoft’s Xbox Live Marketplace. Unfortunately, a “Search” function is still nowhere to be seen, and trying to locate games is still narrowed down by genre specific images.

Still, the store is much more appealing than the current browser-based disaster. On the downside of this April update, apparently the European store won’t see any updates for 2 weeks in preparation. Does this mean that the update won’t be coming to US consoles (or, until we see some downtime?) or will everything go smoothly for North America, sans delay? Not likely, but look for that info in the future. Until then, check the link for more official images of the upcoming store update.

And where is our in-game-XMB?!
