In a move that makes it seem as if Ubisoft are ignoring last year’s reinvention of the franchise, a new Sands of Time era Prince of Persia game has been announced for 2010.
Looking like it will tie into the Jake Gyllenhaal Sands of Time movie, the game is said to feature ‘fan-favourite’ elements from the trilogy last generation, though it’s also set to continue with the innovation the series has seen thus far.
As a huge fan of last year’s Prince of Persia, it is a shame to see Ubisoft going backwards to previous titles for inspiration, but hopefully this is only a stop gap for the Cel-Shaded Prince to build upon in 2011.
