Sex Drive is a new film directed by Sean Anders and written by John Morris and Anders. It is out later this year and it is going to be a smash it. That’s right I’m calling it. It will be a hit much like Superbad. The plot of Sex Drive is Ian, played by Josh Zuckerman, has had no luck with the ladies. He is the best friend but never the boyfriend. Oddly enough his best friend Lance, played by Clark Duke of the TV show Geek, is a all around ladies man. Ian finds himself exchanging IMs with a very attractive girl and finds himself in a situation where if he drives down to Tennessee he can hook up with her. Ian, with Lance egging him on, decides to go through with this meeting and they head down to Tennessee from Chicago. Though they have one more unexpected passenger with them. Ian’s best friend Felicia (Amanda Crew).
The film follows the trio accross country and all their misadventeres. By now I’m sure many of you are thinking, been there done that, well so was I until I saw the trailer that can be found on the film’s website. If the trailer does not get you hooked let me just tell you from my personal experince. This film is a blast. I was lucky enough to get a early screening and I can’t tell you how many times I laughed. It’s not your typical buddy sex film. The writting is original and the actors all do a great job. This is a film that you need to see. It’s schedualed for an October 10th release (US). Keep your eyes open for this movie and my review as the release date nears. This is a movie you do not want to miss.
