Sony Keyboard Pad Available on Amazon

Posted on Mon, Aug 25, 2008 in News, Sony PS3

Those PS3 owners who find the text entry methods provided by the Sixaxis/Dualshock 3 controllers clumsy at best and impossible at worst, have some hope in sight. Amazon has the Playstation 3 Wireless Keypad available for preorder for $49.99 USD.

The obvious benefits include being able to actually type URL’s in the browser rather than using the D-Pad or analog sticks and thus a much easier, more computer-like experience for couch-browsers.

The obvious downside is the fact that it’s expensive compared to many bluetooth keyboards and only $10 less than Logitech’s fantastic Mediaboard Pro, which includes a trackpad to make all browsing easier.

Those interested in picking up the attachment can find it on their doorstep on or around Nov. 30 of this year.
