Spyro sails to silver screen

If you’re one of the kinds of people that adores cutesy purple dragons, hitting the movie theater or perhaps the writing from the direct-to-video release of Dr. Dolittle 4 then you’re in for a mind blowing experience: a Spyro the Dragon animated film.

… Huh?

Apparently the adorable lavender lad Spyro is so hot right now that he deserves an animated film brought to you by the same folks who are bringing forth the outrageously terrible sure-to-be-stunning Garfield Gets Real Nintendo DS game. Spyro’s birth on the PSOne has spawned a ludicrous amount of extremely mediocre platforming games for kids across nearly every console. The recent release of the DS game, The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night is enough to justify a film, we suppose. You can bet Lloyd is looking forward to this one… His infants will go bananas for this one.
