Star Wars fans who aren’t hotly anticipating this week’s release of the demo for The Force Unleashed are probably jealous Nintendo fans aching for a new game in the universe themselves. November 11 will see two games released, one for Wii and the other for Nintendo DS. The Clone Wars is a Nintendo-exclusive adaptation of October’s upcoming television series (which debuted its first few episodes as a film this weekend) so if you’re looking to get your Jedi on, November can’t come soon enough.

Until then, check out the behind-the-scenes mini-doc on the newly launched websites. Each site has a video for its respective title, each of which have a heavy emphasis on Jedi lightsaber battles.

Details on the games have been sparse to this point, but the Singapore team working on the handheld version are putting an emphasis on teamwork, which we assume means wireless multiplayer for the stylus-centric sword fighting. Conversely, the Wii version has its eye on capturing the feel of clashing lightsabers with a “duel” theme, which means there will likely be some serious saberin’ with Asajj Ventress, Count Dooku, and General Grievous. Knowing the fates of most of those characters means that you won’t be slicin’ them to death this time around, but we can’t wait to rough them up regardless.
