The first screenshots for the recently confirmed Team ICO project, The Last Guardian, have been released, and while nearly all of them are taken from the E3 trailer, the beauty on offer here is amazing.
The creature that accompanies the young boy in the images is so wonderfully designed that the fur and skin look almost real, despite a creature like this being nothing like anything seen before. The game looks to be a blend of the developer’s last two games, with sections that are very reminiscent of the original ICO, and some screens, such as the underwater reminding us of Shadow of the Colossus.

This is such a gorgeous looking game. The animation of the beast is spot on, right up there with the dog in Fable 2. Excited to see what this game becomes when it’s released.
