Zen Studios is making a first person shooter in Marvel’s The Punisher universe, using the Unreal Engine 3, for PlayStation Network. Downloaded games are increasing in popularity, and here’s another example of what’s on the horizon.
No indication yet on whether a single player game exists or how long it is, but a multiplayer-only game is a smart move for a downloadable game, with endless replayability in a bite-sized package. Anyone who can download it is already connected to the internet, so there’s no barrier to entry on this experience (a fear of developers bringing multiplayer-only games to retail). If you hate playing online, maybe Zen will give us bots.
