There Can Be Only One – TF2 Update

eyelander and targeDay four. The war update has divided and destroyed. Since the beginning over nine million soldiers and demomen have died, with heavier losses for the Scottish cyclops. So what is today’s good news for our battered mars bar muncher? The power of Christopher Lambert – the Eyelander and the Chargin Targe.

Both new weapons give the demoman that needed edge in close combat fighting. The Eyelander, made with pattern-welded Damascus steel, guarantees a decapitation with every death.

Replacing the melee slot weapon, the sword is haunted and as a result can not critically hit, without the Chargin Targe, and reduces maximum health when equipped. It does, however, grant otherwordly powers with each kill giving the user a health and speed boost when blood is spilled.

The Chargin Targe on the other hand proves that a shield can be just as deadly as a sword, thanks to a large spike mounted on the front. This replaces the sticky bomb launcher and equipping it gives 50% fire damage resistance and 65% blast damage resistance.

Yet the best aspect of the targe lies with its secondary fire ability which charges the demoman towards foes, moving faster than a scout. Medium distance charges then give mini crits to any melee hit and long distance charges make any melee hit a definite crit.

Along with these weapons more of the comic has been released this time focusing on RED demoman’s family issues of not being blind by the age of 30.
