The first game to come from Rockstar in the App Store, Beaterator, the Timbaland based PSP title from earlier in the year has arrived on iPhone and iPod Touch.

The game includes a similar level of modes as the PSP version, though the focus here is on remixing the pre made samples in the game, rather than creating completely original music. The iPod interface should make some of the fiddly menu navigation of the PSP’s version no longer a problem, and the discount in price makes the deal that bit sweeter.

It’s great to see games like this being released on a system so directly linked to music in the first place.

Beaterator is $4.99 in the US iTunes store now.
