Ubisoft Confirms Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood Details

Following a series of a rumours over the past week or two, Ubisoft have taken a hint and officially announced Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC.

Set in Italy once more, star of Assassin’s Creed 2 Ezio returns to the series as a Master Assassin. The game looks likely to focus on taking on a more managerial role in the community, the titular Brotherhood being under the command of Ezio. This should make for a new flavour to the Creed experience, vital if the game is to be set in the same environment.

The real surprise here though is the addition of a multiplayer component, allowing players to choose from a variety of series characters, each with their own ‘signature’ weapons and assassination techniques. Multiplayer is definitely the focus here, and as details are scarce right now, it’s hard to guess exactly how the game will perform online.

That said, the fact the game exists will be enough to please players who loved last year’s game (at least one member of the Nukoda team has named it his Game of The Year). Look for more information on Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood as its confirmed over the coming months as we ready ourselves for a late 2010 release.
