If you’re one of the Battlefield fanatics who’s been up in arms in a panic that the upcoming Battlefield Heroes is going to ruin the franchise, we’d like to steer you towards today’s trailer. While the actual gameplay segments of the video are limited, we’re completely behind DICE on this one, if not just for the look.
The third person “cartoon shooter” looks like it’s going to be a riot, what with all the running-over-with-tanks, hitching a ride on the wings of a fighter jet, character customization and the territorial takeover metagame. Seeing it in action leaves us in awe, and the fact that this game is going to be both free and easy to run on most rigs will have us plunking our asses in front of our PC’s for a long period of time.
