Let’s face it – after we all made our avatars when NXE came out, we realized there wasn’t much to do with them beyond UNO and A Kingdom For Keflings. Now, Microsoft has made it easy to customize and save photos of your avatar (or even your group of friends). The best you could do before was to save the tiny Gamercard picture from Xbox.com.
Perhaps this is one of those planned features that didn’t make the launch date, but at least it shows that Microsoft is committed to creating an identity and a community around avatars. With built in presets for creating Facebook, Myspace, and various other social networks, it’s fairly simple to create pictures of e-cards.
Hopefully this is just the first step and a sign of things to come in terms of avatar integration. Head here to check it out for youself.
